I love to curl on the sofa to watch movies and consume vast amounts of munchies. I love dipping nachos or crisps to creamy dips. Unfortunately it’s not a great for the figure, and often leaves me feeling stuffed and bloated.
I know substituting nachos with vegetables doesn’t sound like a very sexy choice, but it has worked for me. Crudites give that nice crunchy job for the jaws which is definitely a big part of the enjoyment. I’ve also swapped the creamy dips with hummus, which you can now buy in a massive variety of flavours. This works as a great light dinner, too when I’m not very hungry.
Crudite platter – I choose a few of these, whatever happens to be in the fridge.
- Carrot sticks
- Red & yellow peppers
- Cauliflower florets (yes, raw!)
- Cucumber sticks
- Mushrooms (yes, raw!)
- Whole meal pitta bread cut to strips
Hummus is something that doesn’t suffer in taste or texture if swapped it with the low fat version.
